Feeding Recommendations
For best results add FortiMILK™ GOLD to milk feed from 48 hours after birth and continue for the duration of milk feeding.
7.5g per calf, per day if under 35kg
10g per calf, per day if over 35kg
Read the label for detailed feeding instructions.

Care must be exercised when feeding FortiMILK™ Gold with other antimicrobials.
If the preparation fails to alleviate the condition being treated, the user should seek veterinary advice.
DO NOT FEED TO BOBBY CALVES.
Do not allow dogs, horses and other equids access to feeds containing Bovatec 20CC, as ingestion by these species may be fatal.
Feeding options
Add FortiMILK™ GOLD to whole milk or non-medicated calf milk replacer, like our tried and trusted Blossom
Feed full dose in the morning milk feed – can be fed in divided dose of calf milk additive over 2 milk feeds daily
If adding to liquid milk, ensure vigorous agitation to the point of feeding as Bovatec 20CC solubility is low.
Description
FortiMilk™ Gold contains three key components: Bovatec, which aids in the control of coccidiosis; Celmanax, an ultra-concentrated yeast extract that helps support good gut health and the development of the immune system; and Certillus Calf Concentrate, a source of live, naturally occurring microorganisms that also helps support gut health.
Bovatec® is a registered product under the ACVM Act 1997, A9679
FortiMILK™ is supplied in a 9kg bucket.
Nutritional Benefits
Whole milk from the modern commercial dairy cow often fails to meet the basic vitamin and trace mineral requirements of young milk-fed calves (data on file). These can be met by supplementing whole milk with FortiMILK™ GOLD - specifically designed to supplement the daily requirements of fast growing pre-ruminant calves and maximise health and growth potential.
It also contains high-dose probiotics and Celmanax to establish and maintain beneficial micro-flora balance in the gut, supports good gut health and helps support the immune system. Bovatec is an aid in the control of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria species in cattle.
FortiMILK™ GOLD is the ideal calf milk additive for rearing healthy calves in concentrated calving operations.
Bovatec 20CC: Contains 40g/kg of Bovatec 20CC to provide 80mg of lasalocid per 10g dose. Bovatec 20CC is registered pursuant to the ACVM Act 1997 No. A9679. See www.foodsafety.govt.nz for registration conditions.
NOTE: It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels of Agricultural Compounds.

Feedback from our farmers
"It was found to be a lot less expensive than purchasing milk powder to fortify milk, as we've done in previous seasons."

Cattle Feed Storage on Farm
As with any grain or meal feed products need to be kept dry as moisture combined with heat can cause fungi to grow. Common on farm storage methods are: in a shed or unused fertiliser bin; in a covered pit; on a concrete pad; or in a cutting, covered with plastic sheet and tyres. Most feed should be used reasonably expediently (within 40 - 50 days). The longer you plan to store feed products the better your storage facilities need to be.
