Key benefits include:
· Formulated to drive lean growth of up to 900g ADG*
· Encourages calf meal consumption from an early age
· Easy to mix in warm or cold water
*when fed 900g of Blossom Hi-Spec CMR powder, per a day
Blossom Hi-Spec is a whey-based calf milk replacer using Imunopro® as its base. Imunopro® is a unique ultrafiltration process concentrating the goodness of milk for the benefit of the calf with low heat to avoid denaturing vital proteins.
The product is then formulated with the appropriate levels of vitamins, minerals and amino acids to support up to 900g of average daily gain (ADG) when the calf is fed 900g of Blossom Hi-Spec CMR powder a day. Minimising limiting nutrients helps the calf to achieve skeletal growth alongside weight gain.
High protein from whey and moderate fat levels in Blossom Hi-Spec CMR supports quicker gastric emptying after a CMR feed. Anecdotally, we hear that this drives earlier meal consumption in the calf.
This calf milk replacer is also very easy to use and dissolves quickly in cold or warm water up to 40C.
We’ve had a good number of clients use Blossom Hi Spec CMR over the last two years and we can confirm they’re getting fast, lean growth (around 1 kg BWG per day) with calves achieving high skeletal growth.
FortiMILK ® GOLD is a calf milk supplement to support calf health, growth performance and control protozoa disease throughout the milk feeding period. FortiMILK ® GOLD is formulated as an easy to mix supplement for infant calves. It incorporates Bovatec®, Celmanax™, protected vitamins and chelated trace minerals, antioxidants, and most importantly a high-dose, calf-specific probiotics. Celmanax™ provides a resistance to Cryptosporidium spores.
As with any grain or meal feed products need to be kept dry as moisture combined with heat can cause fungi to grow. Common on farm storage methods are: in a shed or unused fertiliser bin; in a covered pit; on a concrete pad; or in a cutting, covered with plastic sheet and tyres. Most feed should be used reasonably expediently (within 40 - 50 days). The longer you plan to store feed products the better your storage facilities need to be.
